
In another significant development, the Deputy Chairman, Mr. Robert Browne, accompanied by the Chief Administrator, Mr. Peter Koroma, the Finance Officer, Mr. Madina Bah, and the Environmental and Sanitation Officer (ESO), Mrs. Nannah Jalloh Conteh, paid a strategic visit to the Chief Superintendent of the Chinese Hospital in Jui Dr. Tarawallie.

The purpose of the engagement was to strengthen collaboration between the Western Area Rural District Council (WARDC) and the hospital management, particularly following the successful cleaning and removal of the illegal dumpsite along the Chinese Hospital fence in Jui.
Discussions focused on practical measures to safeguard the hospital premises, maintain environmental sanitation standards, and prevent a recurrence of illegal dumping in the area. The team also explored ways the Council can support the beautification of the hospital environment to ensure it remains clean, safe, and conducive for patients, staff, and visitors.
The Deputy Chairman emphasized the Council’s commitment to protecting public health facilities and promoting a cleaner district through sustained partnership and community responsibility. He noted that preserving the gains made from the recent cleanup exercise requires joint action, continuous monitoring, and public cooperation.

The meeting ended with a shared commitment to work closely together in maintaining the integrity and cleanliness of the hospital surroundings for the benefit of all residents.
